Texting About a Job

Some parents use Instinct Labs to hire household help, such as a babysitter, nanny or housecleaner. This page explains the text messages a job candidate may receive and how they agree to them.

How you opt in

Opt-in is through a web form. When you apply to a parent's job on a job site, the parent may reply to you one-on-one on that site with a short message and a link to an intro page about their family and the job. For example:

"Thanks so much for applying! I'd love to get to know you a little. Here's a short intro about our family and the job: https://hiring.instinctlabs.ai/sarah-k7m"

The intro page shows the parent's first name and the job, and asks for your name, your mobile number and a few optional questions. It then has two checkboxes, both unticked by default:

The button reads "Yes, Sign Me Up!" Directly under it the page says: "Msg & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You are not required to consent to texts to apply for this job. Reply STOP to opt out of any or all messages at any time. Reply HELP for help or contact us at hello@instinctlabs.ai. For more information, see our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy."

Texting is optional: if you leave the messaging box unticked, the parent replies to you on the job site instead. We only text you if you tick it, or if you text an Instinct Labs number yourself.

When you submit the form with the messaging box ticked, you receive a confirmation text welcoming you: "Instinct Labs: You're signed up for texts from Instinct Labs about the job you applied for. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."

What you'll receive

Text messages from Instinct Labs about the job you applied for: the schedule, pay and duties, and setting up a phone call or interview. Apart from the one confirmation text above, every message is drafted by our software and approved by the parent before Instinct Labs sends it. No marketing messages are sent. Message frequency varies with your conversation. Message and data rates may apply.

Stopping texts and getting help

Reply STOP at any time to stop all texts from the number, START to resume, or HELP for help. You can also email us at hello@instinctlabs.ai. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
